		<description>Plums, I think you might be a bit confused by, ironically, the altitude.  The prominence (how far it sticks out above the rest of the surrounding landscape) of K2 is 13,179 ft but its official height is some 28,252ft.

I was initially quite impressed by the fact that you were cycling at altitudes equivalent to the 2nd highest mountain in the world but I'm not that impressed any more :-)

I look forward to a lively social intercourse with you on this subject since I am sure you'll have some fancy theory or other.</description>
