The prominence (how far it sticks out above the rest of the surrounding landscape) of K2 is 13,179 ft but its official height is some 28,252ft. I was initially quite impressed by the fact that you were cycling at altitudes equivalent to the 2nd highest mountain in the world but I'm not that impressed any more :-) I look forward to a lively social intercourse with you on this subject since I am sure you'll have some fancy theory or other.
