Hi Yes we too had a quiet New Year.So Jen's email would indicate that you are about to fold your blanket the date being set once your itinerary marries up with aval acft. I gather you will depart for UK, unpack, have a wee rest before Simon returns to the coalmine and Jen heads back to Aust. You both must be terribly fit and pleased with your achievement. No doubt you will estab a routine to maintain your muscle tone though you will enjoy an argy stake or two and of course a drop or two of Argy red.I realise you are at the planning stage so I dont expect detail but i guess Jen will desend on Hobart, stay with us, do whatever and take in the Overland track. A friend of ours, Robin Lockhead, is an Icon in this sort of thing and I feel you wont have any trouble finding someone to go with you so look into the best date that suits you. I would love togo with you but my hips and back couldn't hack it.Signing off DAD

Hi.Trust all is well with you both. I was pleased that Simon has had a positive reaction to the latest pills. Can't have the leader of this expedition wasting away. I see that you are 70%+ done. At the rate you are going you should reach your finish point sooner than you planned provided S's wheel holds out. We had a very quiet Xmas with the silence shattered by the many phone calls received. Catching you on Skype was a highlight.Next year I propose we travel north and provided we go firm nlt June,we can go for the cheaper tickets. Have you any idea of what you might be doing? I am going to prop[ose that we RV in CBA with jonno. Most likely he will hve his promotion to Lt Col party. It should be one that sits high on your social calander. The Basticks (Dentist friend) has invited us for lunch to partake of the leftovers from his daughter's wedding. It cost him $1500 to hire a marquee and he intends to get his ,money's worth. He has a vineyard and has produced a very dry Reisling which has promise. Great setting for a party!! I hope you can find someone with whom you can celebrate the New Year. We shall be thinking of you.
Cheers for now Lots of L Mum And Dad
